I met with Hayley and Hugh at One Fine Day and we just clicked. I loved their energy right from the start! The brief for their wedding at Burnham Beeches in the Dandenong Ranges was casual, intimate and cool.
They were keen on an outdoor garden ceremony, in front of the mansion and so I used my birch wood arbour and laid a huge puddle of rose petals to frame the space on the lawn. Hayley rocked a lace dress and leather jacket and I made her a generous and understyled bouquet of dogwood, dahlias and viburnum.
I just love the laidback vintage vibe of the photos by Alekandar Jason Weddings. He really captured the essence of this incredible heritage building and surrounding gardens. I made lots of foliage bombs and hung them from the exposed rafters in the cafe for the reception. Adding lush green foliages to the pared back industrial space of the room worked really beautifully.
