Natural Garden style wedding at Stones of the Yarra Valley

Elegant and garden style wedding ceremony floral backdrop at Stones of the Yarra Yalley

Working with an excellent planner and stylist like Eliska from Ruffles and Bells is such a wonderful highlight of my work. I literally do a little happy dance when she gives me a new brief, because I know that whatever she comes up with will be elevated and beautiful and always, always different. Her weddings have a particular aesthetic that I love and they resonate with my personal style.

For Pei Pei and Kevin’s ceremony we wanted a very different look to the usual Chapel situation and so we moved the table to the side and created a series of garden style installations as a backdrop. The wild, meadow vibe was created by digging up queen annes lace plants and incorporating them with white delphinium, foraged cotoneaster branches and open roses.

These pieces were then repositioned in the Dairy and in the Barn so they could continue to bring the outside in.

Behind the scenes.

The major focal point in the reception was a large, “S” shaped installation we hung from the centre of the room. Reaching about 4metres in length, the S was filled with wild palm leaves, dried foliages and textures and sections bursting with luxe tinted orchids and open blooms.

Underneath, the tables were expertly styled with taupe linens, gorgeous candles on travertine slices and our artfully arranged florals. I found some green persimmons still on the branch and we draped those across the table tops, creating a generous and playful tablescape.
