Yering Station is a beautiful, modern venue in the Yarra Valley with sweeping views and a number of great ceremony options. Daniel and Darkus chose to hold their ceremony under the Mop Top trees which was perfect for their summer nuptials.
Daniel and Darkus held their ceremony under the mop top trees in the shade. They wanted to an autumnal, forest meets winery vibe, so I used wood slices and moss, foraged lichen branches, dried hydrangea and fat bunches of grapes for their ceremony.
The grooms had a fairly informal wedding party, with the women wearing wrist corsages and the men wearing intricate buttonholes. I made these with neutral toned dried and preserved leaves, grasses and bunny tails, tied with velvet ribbons.
Jess from Studio Silva produced the day of stationery, including the name cards and I placed a sprig of olive leaf on each card to tie in the fresh foliages used throughout
I loved hearing that guests were snacking on the fruit and feeding each other from the grape bunches throughout the night.
On the tables I styled soft grey silk and gathered clusters of lanterns with vessels spilling over with blood plums, buerre bosc pears and black grapes. Linking theses clusters was eucalyptus and olive branches all the way down the centre of the long shared tables.
