Photography: Hey Jack

Venue: Zonzo

A gorgeous, naturally styled wedding with a modern rustic twist at Zonzo Estate.

Nat and Jacob wanted a laid back, afternoon ceremony filled with close friends and family.

Their ceremony, in the sun filled Capella was picture perfect.

Nat and Jacob were shooting their first look photos when we arrived at Zonzo to set up their ceremony and I was struck by how sweet they looked, posing in the sun with their bridal party. Maybe it was the fact that we’d had to postpone due to a snap covid lockdown, but it seemed extra special somehow, to see them taking that time together.

I’d made bouquets with the season’s favourites – lush roses and orchids, with pops of dried and preserved foliages and textures. The colour palette has been so popular, especially for my Zonzo weddings. We’ve seen a lot of beige, soft umber, latte and powdery nude tones and creamy whites this year.

The bridesmaids wore champagne silk slip dresses and the men wore very pale grey coloured jackets and black slacks. Nat’s dress was a lovely low cut bodice tied at the shoulders, with a full skirt featuring pearl beading detail, designed by Sassi Holford

Framing the ceremony in the Capella, we placed a tall and full floral pillar, with my hurricane candles placed on the floor. As usual, we hung about after the ceremony so we could move the floral pillar up to the reception where it framed the dancefloor and speeches.

On the tables, full and low arrangements were placed at intervals down the long shared tables.

We used the season’s favourite roses, lisianthus and hydrangea in soft sunset shades with lots of dried textures. Overhead, classic flower bombs with wild textures and pops of colour.
